Project Summary
Coffee Women in the World is a strengthening initiative dedicated to supporting Colombian women, including senior migrants and single mothers who live abroad. This program offers specialized training, business development support, and opportunities to scale small coffee ventures internationally.
The initiative aims to help participants build sustainable sources of income, enhance their leadership skills, and preserve Colombia’s rich coffee-growing traditions. In doing so, it contributes to improving their economic well-being and provides them with the necessary tools to create a better future for themselves and their families, while proudly sharing their cultural heritage with the world.
Why This Matters
Many senior Colombian women who have migrated face unique challenges, from economic instability to cultural displacement. Despite their invaluable experience and deep-rooted knowledge of coffee cultivation, they often struggle to access opportunities in the international market.
